Porcelain Veneers

What are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth. They are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility.

Placing custom veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail. We place veneers routinely, and design each case individually to match and enhance the characteristics of each patient's smile.

Will they look like normal teeth?

When bonded to the teeth, the ultra-thin porcelain veneers are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to coffee, tea, or even cigarette stains. For strength and appearance, their resemblance to healthy, white tooth enamel is unsurpassed by other restorative options.

How durable are porcelain veneers?

With proper care, porcelain veneers will brighten your smile for well over a decade.

Our Doctors will ensure that your veneers are crafted from the highest quality porcelains and are bonded with the most advanced and proven materials available.

Refraining from using your veneers as tools to open and cut things will prolong their life, and if accidental breakage or damage occurs, it is usually possible to replace only the veneer involved.

How much do porcelain veneers cost?

Porcelain veneers cost about the same amount as crowns, but while a crown is typically a covered service when you have dental insurance, a porcelain veneer is considered a cosmetic service and is typically not covered by most plans. The advantage to having veneers made as opposed to porcelain crowns, is that they involve far less removal of tooth structure. In some cases, (such as with Lumineers), there is virtually no removal of tooth structure and no need for anesthetic.

Before and After Photos

The Problem:  Bob didn't like the shape or color of his front teeth and had some
old, stained bonding that needed to be replaced.

The Solution:  Porcelain veneers were placed on Bob's four front teeth and
cosmetic bonding was used to make his left canine (right side of photo)
    appear straight.

The Result: A combination of veneers and bonding helped Bob stay
within his budget and gave him the smile he wanted.

The Problem:  Annette had a very large, stained bonded restoration that made
her front tooth look cracked, and her two front teeth weren't the same length.

The Solution: We placed two porcelain veneers to even out the color
and length of her center front teeth and get rid of the cracked look.

The Result: Annette's front teeth are perfectly matched, very natural
looking, and because it's porcelain, she no longer has to worry about
    them staining.

The Problem:  John's cosmetic bonding looked great ten years ago,
but over time it became worn out and stained.

The Solution: Eight porcelain veneers were placed to replace the old
bonding on John's lower front teeth.

The Result: The veneers not only whitened John's smile but made his teeth
look more even, closed the dark spaces, and gave him a more youthful
    look.
